Muses :: Destroying The Shadowmakers Of Plato's Cave
The main focus of my work is one of the exploration, discovery and eventual
acceptance of identity and the concept of inner strength. What is accepted in
the realm of socially-driven gender roles is often not interchangeable. I
explore the ideals of beauty as they relate to the scars brought on by human
survival. It is more acceptable to have scars as a male versus a female. I was
also fascinated by the struggle involved when the male ego attempts to accept
the feminine while retaining a sense of masculinity. Much of this series of work
is devoted to the documenting of individuals and their struggle against
media-defined gender roles. The growth and fight for self-love and respect
dominates my work especially as it relates to breaking down gender stigmas.

Fashionista :: An Art Happening
The concept of the exhibition was one of deconstructing the stereotypes
revolving around the creative activity of fashion. The happening consisted of
understood forms of art such as photography, illustration, installation, and
performance art all within the genre of fashion. This exhibit communicated to
the viewer the aesthetic qualities of objects that do not necessarily conform
to the beauty mystique. This was an attempt to show that fashion is a
discipline and outlet for creative expression. Like other art forms fashion requires "creative
chaos".
